Our wines are a celebration of Sonoma and the diversity of grape varietals for which Sonoma is known. Pangloss winemaker Erich Bradley takes an Old World and minimalist approach, using only hand-picked and hand-sorted grapes, open-top fermenters and French oak barrels. His goal is to craft small batches of elegant and accessible wines that above all exhibit balance and complexity. The wines are made at our winery at Moon Mountain Vineyard and barrel aged deep in the natural rock caves behind the winery. Our portfolio of wines is only available at the Pangloss Cellars Tasting Lounge.

2015 Pangloss Sauvignon Blanc

Cases Crafted: 330

To enhance the complexity of our Sauvignon Blanc, we age it for a short time in neutral oak. Older barrels do not impart heavy oak flavor. Instead, they impart a rich mouthfeel while preserving Sauvignon Blanc’s bright, refreshing flavors. Some of our favorite Loire Valley winemakers use this technique, and we’ve had great success with it as well.

2016 Pangloss Rosé

Cases Crafted: 588

This wine hooked us from the moment we first tasted it. Loaded with fruit yet still crisp and refreshing, it’ll be your go-to summer sipper, too. We blended Grenache and Cinsault in an elegant, distinctly feminine Provençal-style wine that’s delicate and charming. Put a light chill on this one and bring it anywhere summer takes you.

2015 Pangloss Chardonnay

Cases Crafted: 395

Sonoma Coast Chardonnay fans are in for a treat with the 2015 vintage – it’s one of the best in at least 20 years. Harvest was earlier than normal, so the fruit came in before late Summer heat could dampen Chardonnay’s delicate flavors. The resulting wine is bright and crisp, with plenty of rich, ripe character. We age our Chardonnay in a small amount of new French oak to give it a subtle toasty finish.

2014 Pangloss Zinfandel, Moon Mountain District

Cases Crafted: 230

Our very first vintage of this wine is a testament to Moon Mountain District’s storied history producing Zinfandel. In this rocky, remote landscape, vines sometimes root 25 feet beneath the surface seeking water and nutrients. The resulting wines are powerful and concentrated, yet they also have seamless balance and finesse not usually associated with Zinfandel.

2014 Pangloss Cabernet Sauvignon, Moon Mountain District

Cases Crafted: 533

We’ve been amazed at how beautifully the 2014 vintage captures the essence of Moon Mountain District winemaking. This Cabernet Sauvignon boasts everything we love about this secluded appellation: deep fruit flavors, concentration and just the right balance of acidity and tannin. Some of the vineyards dotting the steep slopes of Moon Mountain District date back to the 1880s, and in that time they have developed a reputation for depth and complexity. This bottling is a reference point for what this region has come to be known for.
