Blood Orange Rosemary Spritz Mocktail
A winter-inspired mocktail featuring bright citrus and aromatic herbs
For the Rosemary Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 fresh rosemary sprigs
For Each Mocktail:
- 3 oz fresh blood orange juice (about 1 large blood orange)
- 1 oz rosemary simple syrup
- 4-5 oz chilled sparkling water
- Ice
- Fresh rosemary sprig and blood orange slice for garnish
Simple Syrup Instructions:
- Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat
- Stir until sugar dissolves completely
- Add rosemary sprigs and simmer for 1 minute
- Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes
- Strain and refrigerate until chilled
- Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
Mocktail Assembly:
- Fill a wine glass or tall glass with ice
- Pour in fresh blood orange juice and rosemary simple syrup
- Top with chilled sparkling water
- Gently stir to combine
- Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and blood orange slice
