Blood Orange Rosemary Spritz Mocktail


A winter-inspired mocktail featuring bright citrus and aromatic herbs


For the Rosemary Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 fresh rosemary sprigs


For Each Mocktail:

  • 3 oz fresh blood orange juice (about 1 large blood orange)
  • 1 oz rosemary simple syrup
  • 4-5 oz chilled sparkling water
  • Ice
  • Fresh rosemary sprig and blood orange slice for garnish



Simple Syrup Instructions:

  1. Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat
  2. Stir until sugar dissolves completely
  3. Add rosemary sprigs and simmer for 1 minute
  4. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes
  5. Strain and refrigerate until chilled
  6. Syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks


Mocktail Assembly:

  1. Fill a wine glass or tall glass with ice
  2. Pour in fresh blood orange juice and rosemary simple syrup
  3. Top with chilled sparkling water
  4. Gently stir to combine
  5. Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and blood orange slice


Serving Suggestion: For the best presentation, use a wine glass to serve – it highlights the beautiful color of the blood orange juice and lets the aromatic rosemary garnish shine.
