2014 Pinot Noir Charles Vineyard
Wine Notes Print tech sheet
For those who enjoy New World Pinot Noir that’s firmly rooted in a Burgundian approach, the Charles Vineyard sets the standard. Our longtime friends Bill and Nancy Charles are a husband-and-wife team who farm a gorgeous 15-acre ranch outside Boonville where Bill was born and raised. Anderson Valley’s cool coastal temperatures create the ideal environment for savory Pinot Noir, and the region is highly coveted for its exceptional wines. Several Pinot Noir clones thrive at the Charles Vineyard, each with a unique flavor profile. The Pommard clone is known for its earthiness and complexity, and lends a beautiful Old World influence to this wine.
