2015 Cabernet Sauvignon 3L Moon Mountain District

Wine Notes Print tech sheet

The 2015 harvest was relatively modest compared to previous years. Fortunately, low-yield vintages play beautifully to the strength of this Cabernet Sauvignon, capturing and concentrating its alluring flavor profile within smaller berries and fewer clusters. The result is a true expression of the finesse and character of Moon Mountain District. Much of the fruit for this wine comes from the legendary Monte Rosso Vineyard. Planted by famed winemaker Louis Martini in 1938, this exceptional vineyard block boasts the oldest producing Cabernet Sauvignon in North America. Every compelling hallmark of hillside-grown Cabernet Sauvignon is displayed in this bottling, from earthy, dense structure to concentration to balanced acidity. Even today, this vineyard symbolizes our home – rugged, vibrant and lasting.
