2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Moon Mountain District

Wine Notes Print tech sheet

The Cabernet Sauvignon we craft from Moon Mountain District has garnered a devoted following by illustrating the appellation’s potential for wines of exceptional intensity. The rugged hillsides of Moon Mountain District have a penchant for producing bold flavor profiles, and favorable growing conditions in 2019 allowed us to take full advantage. Yet, like all Pangloss wines, balance is critical. Moon Mountain District’s proximity to the Petaluma Gap and San Pablo Bay allows the fruit to benefit from nighttime cooling to retain acidity. These ocean influences are essential to maintaining the elegance that keeps this wine structured and composed. This Cabernet Sauvignon is also farmed organically, which we believe magnifies the ancient volcanic terroir of Moon Mountain District.

What Our Team Is Saying:

"Dark Cherry and cocoa powder notes make me want to enjoy this beautiful and dry Cabernet with a warm and gooey chocolate lava cake! I have a sweet tooth, so any dessert is my first go-to! A T-bone steak with buttery veggies is another route for those who love to pair Cabs with a juicy cut of beef!"
