2019 Tenacity Sonoma Valley
Wine Notes Print tech sheet
**SOLD OUT**
We’re often asked where this wine got its imaginative name. Blends like this one are a staple in the Southern Rhône Valley, but are far less common in California. Even within Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where blending is prevalent, Mourvèdre-based wines are rare and highly prized. We were determined – some would say tenacious – to create a Sonoma bottling to rival our French favorites. Summer growing conditions in 2019 played perfectly to Mourvèdre’s strengths, fostering the wine’s savory character. The full-bodied fruit and richness of Mourvèdre move in tandem with its vibrant companion Grenache, and punctuated by a flourish of Syrah’s brooding character.

What our team is saying:
"I love to pair the Tenacity with either smoked meats or Middle Eastern style spices. Depending on where you’re from in the South, that means either pork ribs or beef brisket. Additionally, any grilled vegetable that uses Za’atar would make this wine sing!"
