2020 Pinot Noir Charles Vineyard
Wine Notes Print tech sheet
Located just outside the small town of Boonville in Anderson Valley, Charles Vineyard has developed an impressive reputation for creating Pinot Noir that evokes classic Burgundy. Owner Bill Charles was born and raised in Boonville, and in 2001 he and his wife Nancy planted a 15-acre vineyard together. In their experienced hands, this exceptional site has become highly sought after by winemakers across California. The superlative Pommard clone grown at Charles Vineyard results in high-toned Pinot Noir with lifted aromatics and defined structure. In the coastal soil of Anderson Valley, Pommard tells a story that is foundational for Pinot Noir from this region. Its signature earthy character is enhanced by a savory, meaty backbone and a layered fruit profile – a truly complete wine with all of the hallmarks of this remarkable vineyard.

What Our Team Is Saying:
"I love to pair this fruit forward & juicy Pinot Noir with anything earthy. A stuffed mushroom or a creamy mushroom risotto works so well with this light-bodied red wine."
