Owner Bill Charles was born and raised in Boonville, and in 2001 he and his wife Nancy planted a 15-acre vineyard together. In their experienced hands, this exceptional site has become highly sought after by winemakers across California. The superlative Pommard clone grown at Charles Vineyard results in high-toned Pinot Noir with lifted aromatics and defined structure. In the coastal soil of Anderson Valley, Pommard tells a story that is foundational for Pinot Noir from this region.
