2021 Appreciation Two Creeks Farm

Wine Notes Print tech sheet

As the name suggests, this wine is our way of showing gratitude to Optimist Society Members. It combines a trio of organically-farmed varieties that are obscure to many California wine drinkers, though they are staples in France’s Rhône Valley. Viognier’s influence is unmistakable in this wine, offering a substantial mouthfeel and exotic aromatics. Grenache Blanc and Roussanne balance Viognier’s weight with refreshing acidity, and the finished wine is rich and round without sacrificing crispness. Blends like this are rare in California, offering an intriguing glimpse into the potential of Rhône-inspired winemaking on Sonoma soil.
