2021 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

Wine Notes Print tech sheet

With ideal terroir including proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the Sonoma Coast has firmly positioned itself at the forefront of New World Pinot Noir. It gained official recognition as an appellation in 1987, but the region has been home to world-class Pinot Noir vineyards since the 1960s. Nestled in the fog among towering old-growth redwoods, the Sonoma Coast is one of the coolest appellations in all of California, which drives the acidity that is the signature of all Pangloss selections. This Burgundy inspired offering comes from a hidden site whose wines are defined by freshness and minerality – precisely the style we pursue with our Pinot Noir.

Accolades

"The savory and woodsy nose of this Pinot shows aromas of tart cherry, evergreen foliage and freshly cut lilacs. The palate is structured for long aging, with flavors of cocoa, caramel, cinnamon and Bing cherry swirling around and around. Drink 2028–2040." -T.R.C, Wine Enthusiast
