2020 Optimism Moon Mountain District
Wine Notes Print tech sheet
Named after Voltaire's eternally hopeful character Dr. Pangloss, our flagship Optimism embodies the philosophical spirit of its namesake. This wine is our "best of all possible worlds" in a bottle. Each vintage, winemaker Erich Bradley selects premier Bordeaux varieties to create a blend that epitomizes the year's finest qualities. In 2020, Moon Mountain District Merlot forms the foundation, its rugged charm echoing the terrain's volcanic heritage. Cabernet Sauvignon weaves through, contributing a refined elegance, while Cabernet Franc adds an unmistakable layer of aromatic complexity. The result is a harmonious testament to Sonoma's potential – robust yet poised, with a depth that promises to evolve beautifully over time. Like Dr. Pangloss himself, this wine encourages optimism, inviting you to savor the present while looking forward to an even brighter future.
