2021 Sparkling Chenin Blanc Sonoma Valley

Wine Notes Print tech sheet

Crafted in the classic Méthode Traditionnelle style, our 2021 Sparkling Chenin Blanc is an elegant celebration in a glass. Boasting a symphony of bright citrus and sweet floral aromas, it maintains a crisp and lively texture that is both refreshing and enchanting. Although Chenin Blanc is scarcely planted in Sonoma Valley, it has found a welcome home at Two Creeks Farm in Kenwood. The fruit we source from here enjoys gentle sunlight, shielded from late afternoon heat by surrounding hillsides. While most sparkling wine grapes in Sonoma are harvested mid-summer, the optimally sheltered location at Two Creeks Farm allows for extended hangtime late into the growing season, providing the perfect conditions for developing depth of flavor and complexity which beautifully express the vineyard’s distinct terroir.

Suggestions

  • Triple cream cheeses like Brillat-Savarin
  • Fresh oysters, fish tacos
  • Fennel & asparagus salad, peach burrata salad
  • Cheese soufflé, truffle potato chips

What Our Team Is Saying:

"One of my absolute favorites, this dry, citrus-driven sparkling pairs beautifully with Oysters, Caviar, or just a plain ole’ bag of Potato Chips. For some added excitement, hunt down a bag of truffle chips to really watch these flavors come alive."
